Jimmy R is so cute. Not..... Listen for hints," Man, that new cd by __________?I wish I had that. It's still chilly sohow about a nice pull over sweater? Don't know what size sweater? "HINT" hug him and while you are hugging, look at his shirt size, (just pretend you saw a bug, or say,"You look so handsome," while straighening out the collar) get the same size or one or two larger if he likes them that way. Does his wallet look older than he is? A nice wallet of leather or nylon. "HINT" Nylon ones won't cause heat rash on his skin like leather will. I know someone who had that problem and the nylon stopped it. Splurge if he's a really sweet one and get him both, give the reason above and that a friend told you about it. Does he have a favorite meal he likes? Take him out for his meal; your treat/movie optional. Or if you know his fav home cooked goodies and know how to make them, make him a surprize meal served by candle light. Depending on your age and his, the home cooked meal/candle light or not, should be done at either house with adult permission and chaperone. Be respectful of your parents, and hopefully when you have yours they will be that respectfull of you. Have his car washed and waxed, especially if he likes his car to look great but, hasn't had time or weather was bad. Loves his car? Put together a cleaning kit: a bottle of car wash soap, sponges, cloths for dust removal, and cleaner use, small hand broom for inside, chamois cloth, stiff brush for scrubbing tires, special tire cleaner that also shines the tires, armor all for the interior, window cleaner for inside, and a bucket to hold the above when not full of soapy water. You could even help clean the car with him and have some fun doing it.You can go Dollar Store inexpensive or Auto Store (more expensive.)Give the basics or do the whole kit. Does he play an instrument? Get him something he can use with it, on it, or around it. A guitar? Use same as sweater. See what type picks or strings he uses and get him extras. Does he complain picks are slick, hard to hold? Pick up a box of fiddle( violin) rosin to go with the picks or strings. All he has to do is use the rosin to make his fingers "sticky" and no more lost picks; they will be stuck to his fingers (not permant stuck). Buy really soft cloths to give as "sweat cloths" they make the strings last longer. Just wipe the stings after a session, and they can be used to wipe smudges off the body of the guitar, Get him a soft or hard case to fit his guitar. Know the brand name of it ? Stratocaster/Gibson/Harmony ? A good music store should be able to help so it will be the right size/shape. What about games on the pc or ps a new one along the lines of his tastes in them. Or books by his most favorite writer. Hope this will help you and anyone else in need of ideas.
